VAREY began as a small, family-rooted architectural practice in London, England in 2018 and is now based in Toronto. As the practice has evolved across the UK and Canada, the approach has remained consistent — a considered act of making, guided by a clear sense of purpose and a material honesty that values warmth, texture, and the contemporary refinement of traditional forms.

Led by OAA (CA) / ARB (UK) Architect and Founder Nick Varey, we make architecture that responds to how people live. A home should support daily routines, create moments of calm, and offer a sense of comfort. Great architecture grows from the harmony between purpose and place — understanding the demands of a space, and bringing them together with a crafted precision that brings a sense of ease, pleasure, and enjoyment.
